How To Use The Site

Find out how to pick your perfect student home

There are three different categories of houses on our website – if you’re unsure about which category a house falls into please ask!

1. Managed by Student Housing Lancaster

This means we act as your landlord and are your point of contact from the moment you sign the contract to the day you move out. We show you around, draw up the contract and take your deposit, and you can use our dedicated Tenants Area to report repairs and access any information you need during your tenancy. You can find out more about our letting procedure here.

2. Let by Student Housing Lancaster

This means we show you around, sign you up and secure your deposit, but your landlord will remain as your point of contact for any day to day issues including maintenance.

3. Advertised by Student Housing Lancaster

These houses are searchable on our site, but privately managed by the landlord. You can find the landlord’s contact details clearly displayed at the bottom of each listing – they can make arrangements to show you round and will sort out the contract and deposit independently of us. Please bear in mind that contract lengths, rent prices and deposit amounts may vary from landlord to landlord, so always check before signing up.

  • Whilst browsing each house, please check the bottom of each advert where you will find the contact details necessary to make your enquiry.
  • Prices are searchable by the highest rent specified, so please check the full details of the listing to see what is included in the rental price. Some houses have an option of rent only or all inclusive.
  • If you see a house you like, you can request a viewing by using this form, sending us an email or just calling the office.
